Empowering Futures Through Art
Hi. We’re Brittany and Dmetri. We are a husband and wife woodworking team who live - wherever the Army sends us. And that is currently Fort Irwin, California! Ink Stick Art studio began as way to fill a need for strong art program in our community in Georgia, where art programs do not receive much funding or attention. It became more than just a program to share art over the years and became a way to grow confidence, friendships and spark interests in new creative careers.
In the spring of 2020, we had to shut down our workshops and were given the opportunity to dive into woodworking and painting. Ink Stick Art transformed into a way for us to work together creatively, and to bring high quality home goods that are inspired by our love for nature into our home.
Using locally-sourced and sustainable hardwoods, we make everything by hand to order in our two-person woodshop. Our items are not mass-produced--we believe in work that is unique, naturally beautiful (we never use stain or dyes!), and handcrafted to stand the test of time.
We have not re-opened in-person workshops, but hope to again in the future! Until then, we offer virtual private lessons!
